NautWise is an application that helps you plan when you boat on Georgian Bay. It analyzes weather, wave , wind and other information to provide you with the information you need to plan your day on Georgian Bay.
The simple display works on your mobile phone or desktop and shows you a day or a week at a time. These are called the Daily or Weekly Planner.
Each size of boat or activity is represented across the top of the screen. When the indicator is green, it is a good time to go. When it is red, it is not ideal. You can click on the indicator to get additional information about the factors that went into making that determination.
In order to turn on the NautWise Morning Update, you would first need to select “Account” and then “My Profile” from your menu. Below is an image of the screens and that you would need to select.
You would then need to scroll to the bottom and choose the options you want to select.
Once you are done, you need to press the “Save” button on the bottom of the page for your changes to become active.

After you have done this, you will receive an email every morning with your Daily and Weekly Planner. You can click on the image in this email to automatically log you onto NautWise.
You can turn this off at any time by repeating the steps and deselecting the option.
The following instructions provide details on how to save an icon on an iPhone. Other mobile devices are similar.
From the home page select the “up arrow” at the bottom to access the menu.
You then need to select the option: “Add to Home Screen” as shown.
This will create a new icon on your mobile phone desktop as shown.
You can now click on this icon to launch the NautWise web app. This will also automatically log you on to the system.
No, you do not need to install an app. This is considered a web app, so it is all run from the NautWise website. You can install an icon on your desktop or mobile device to make it easier to start each time. See the FAQ about creating an Icon above.
There is no cost to use our most advanced product, NautWise COMPLETE for 2024.
Yes! One registered user can use NautWise on any of the devices they own.
Throughout the summer, data is being collected from many different sources and is constantly being updated.
The weather and water data is collected from standard providers, but combined to offer additional functionality. NautWise consolidates weather and water data to aid in planning your activities. While we strive for accuracy, we do not guarantee the reliability of the data provided and shall not be held responsible for any actions taken based on this information. Always exercise caution and consult additional sources. Your safety is your responsibility.
NautWise is the only app available that combines all of the available information in one place. It also offers a unique daily and weekly planner along with a rating system that brings together several factors in one easy to read 5 star rating.
NautWise COMPLETE offers all available functions. In addition to all of the features in NautWise DETAIL, it includes a measurement of Depth Below Draft, Year over Year depth, plotting of 2 variables, and specification of plotting range. Yes, NautWise will work in the winter. If you are using NautWise DETAIL or COMPLETE, you will have access to the current ice charts.
