Who Are We?
NautWise was founded by Mike Neudoerffer and Ron Neumann. We are two entrepreneurs and boaters who have settled on Georgian Bay and love living here.

Ron has been involved with the successful launch of over 10 tech companies. He enjoys living on Georgian Bay.
Our Founding Story
Our founder Mike moved to live on the waterfront. He found that life there has many more pleasures but also a few challenges. To maximize his enjoyment, he found that he would need several steps before he could plan his actions. He would collect data on the computer, take measurements, look outside and then start his day.
He looked for a product that could help him but couldn’t find one, so he built NautWise.
Mike and Ron joined forces to develop NautWise for other people living on Georgian Bay.
This project has been in development for the past 4 years and has evolved from a hardware-based solution to become a web-based application. The first version integrated images from dedicated cameras and was called DockHawk.
The most recent version launched in the summer of 2024, is the result of working with many users of the past system and recognizing that we needed to focus on what our users were using the information for. They all wanted to "plan their day or week", so we reoriented the product to provide those features front and center!
Where are We Located?
We are located in Penetanguishene on beautiful Georgian Bay.
